Conservative women are making their voices heard in the political races this year. We are paying very close attention to the Presidential candidates, as well as state wide and local races.
We are fed up with the never ending government overreach that’s been incessantly encroaching it’s way into so many aspects of our lives….So, who exactly are we and what are we looking for?
Conservative Women and the Elections
First, we are women that value life…ALL LIFE. We don’t minimize one group of lives in order to exalt other groups of lives with “hash-tag” phrases. We hold a deep reverence for the breath of life encompassing every person’s soul, from the youngest to the oldest, from conception in the womb, to the very aged who have departed from the world…
In our resolute belief that all life matters, we stand fervently against abortion and those candidates running for office that support such cruel and merciless acts.
Second, we desire the freedom to practice our faith. For the majority of conservative women, faith is an integral part of our lives. While many of our faiths are different and have varying backgrounds and beliefs, we embrace the prerogative to exercise that faith. It is the essence of our core beings. Our faith anchors us, acting as moral compasses that drive our decisions, relationships, and families.
Therefore, we reject candidates that support minimizing and limiting our ability to abide by that faith. Conservative women fully understand that the term “Separation of church and state” is found nowhere in the Declaration of Independence or the United States Constitution. That phrase was written by Thomas Jefferson in a letter to the Danbury Baptist Association. It was not for the church to stay out of the government. In fact, on the contrary, it was written for the government to stay out of the church.
Third, we hold near and dear to our hearts the family unit. Most conservative women tend to be more traditional in nature. We enjoy honoring customs during the holidays that have been handed down from generation to generation. We tend to be very family oriented with much of our focus and activities on grand-parents, parents, siblings and their families, aunts, uncles, cousins…
For this reason, we will never vote for candidates that demand we personally embrace all sorts of new definitions of marriage. While we fully respect an individual’s right to choose how they live, who they live with, and what they want their personal family to be like, we draw the line at bureaucrats that lecture us on what we have to believe and support.
Fourth, we desire a strong national defense and endeavor to honor all United States military servicemen and women. Conservative women have no problem paying taxes to ensure the USA is fully intact with the highest level of military strength, both offensively and defensively. We believe that every military member should have easy access to the best medical care and support services. If there is any entitlement program we earnestly support, it is the one for our beloved military heroes, that selflessly tow the line for our safety every single day. When a conservative woman is standing around and hears someone disrespect military members, let’s just say you’re going to be sorry…
Contrary to what some may think, conservative women are not for “building walls” that keep everyone out. We are actually very compassionate and want to help those seeking a better life far away from tyranny and abusive governments. We recognize that the face of America encompasses many different heritages. We welcome newcomers and immigrants pursuing freedom, but it must be done legally. We believe the USA’s welcome mat must have an effective screening process that weeds out those who come to do harm, and immediately deports illegals who have committed crimes. No second chances.
Thus, when a candidate tells us they want to “level the playing field” of the United States of America around the world- we won’t vote for them. Conservative women support the candidate that will effectively squash the enemy AND bring help to those suffering under evil regimes.
Fifth, fiscal responsibility is a biggie for us! We are disgusted by the overspending and frivolousness of government- local, state and national. The blatant disregard for the American taxpayer by government officials is at an all time high. We think the majority of government leaders cheat and swindle us, through back-room deals, handshakes and high-fives. We’re skeptical. We’re tired of leaders passing enormous omni-bus bills with all sorts of un-related, ridiculous laws tacked-on and then telling us what’s inside of them.
With that in mind, the candidates that think we don’t pay our fair share in taxes are out. They’ll never get our vote. We are well able to deduce deceiving rhetoric from candidates such as “free education for all, free housing, free cell phones, free, free, free.” What this actually and ultimately means is MORE taxes, MORE regulation, and LESS take home pay for the hardworking individual, that has already been cast aside by power hungry bureaucrats, who keep reaching further into American’s pockets.
This year, conservative women are active, engaged and taking a stand. We are more concerned than ever before about these elections and we’re going to do everything we can to elect leaders that will honor our interests. We are running for office ourselves, working on various campaigns, volunteering, speaking out, and donating funds. We are banding together and sending strong messages. There are thousands and thousands of conservative women and we are done with the liberal brouhaha kind of government that has run amok. Liberal government has finally pushed us too far, and for that very reason, this year, conservative women are pushing back….
